Webmail
Read and send email through the browser — no client setup needed.
Rovela's webmail lets anyone with a mailbox on your domain read and send mail from a browser. It is available at mail.rovela.dev. Each member of your organisation uses their own mailbox credentials to log in.
Logging in
Go to mail.rovela.dev and enter your email address and password. These are the credentials for your Rovela mailbox — not your main Rovela account password. If you have not set a mailbox password yet, ask your administrator to set one for you from the Mailboxes page in the dashboard.
Reading mail
The inbox lists messages with sender, subject, and timestamp. Unread messages are shown in bold. Click a message to open it. The message view shows the full thread and a download link for any attachments.
By default, remote images in messages are blocked until you click Load images in the message header. This protects against tracking pixels in email.
Folders
The left sidebar lists your folders. Standard folders — Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam — are created automatically. You can create additional folders by clicking + next to the folder list. Drag messages between folders, or use the toolbar action when multiple messages are selected.
Composing and replying
Click Compose to write a new message. The editor supports plain text and HTML. Attach files from disk using the attachment button; the total per-message limit is 25 MB.
Reply and reply-all are in the message toolbar. Forwarding works the same way — the original message is quoted below your new text.
Search
The search bar at the top of the message list searches across all folders — subject, sender, recipient, and body. Results show which folder each message came from so you can find mail that has been moved or archived.
Selecting multiple messages
Check the box on any message to enter selection mode. With multiple messages selected you can move them all to a folder, mark them read or unread, or delete them in a single action.
Importing mail from another provider
If you are migrating from a different mail service, the webmail import tab lets you connect to an IMAP server and copy messages across. You will need the IMAP host, port, and your credentials for the source account. The import runs in the background — you can close the tab and check back on progress.
Shared mailboxes
Administrators can mark a mailbox as shared. A shared mailbox appears in the folder list of every member who has been granted access. Messages sent from a shared mailbox show the shared address as the sender, not the individual member's address.
Mailbox settings
Click your name in the top-right corner to open settings. You can change your display name, update your mailbox password, and set a default signature that appends to every new message and reply.
