Dashboard overview

A map of the dashboard — what each section does and how they connect.

The dashboard is your control panel for everything Rovela does: sending, receiving, monitoring, and account management. This page walks through each section so you know where to go for what.

Home

The home screen shows your sending volume over the past 30 days, a delivery rate summary, and any account notices. The volume chart breaks down accepted, delivered, bounced, and complained messages so you can spot trends at a glance.

Emails

A log of every message sent through your account. Each row shows the subject, recipient, status, and timestamp. Click a row to see the full delivery timeline — queued, sent, delivered, opened, clicked — and any bounce or complaint detail.

The status filter lets you narrow to delivered, bounced, complained, or suppressed messages. Use the date range picker for bulk exports.

Templates

Templates let you store an HTML email body once and reference it by name in the API. Variables in double curly braces — {{first_name}} — are filled at send time from the variables field. The template editor shows a live preview as you type.

See Email templates for a full walkthrough.

Domains

Every sending domain must be verified here before you can send from it. Adding a domain gives you four DNS records to publish — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and return-path. The dashboard checks each one independently and shows which are verified and which are still pending.

See Managing domains for step-by-step instructions.

Inbound

Inbound routes let you receive email at addresses on your verified domains. Each route maps an address pattern to a webhook URL that Rovela posts to when a message arrives. The detail view shows recent deliveries and their response codes.

Suppressions

The suppression list records addresses that should not receive mail: hard bounces, spam complaints, and one-click unsubscribes land here automatically. You can also add or remove addresses manually. Sends to suppressed addresses are accepted by the API but silently skipped.

Webhooks

Webhooks push real-time events to a URL you control. Each webhook can subscribe to a subset of events — delivery, bounce, complaint, open, click, and so on. The dashboard shows recent deliveries and lets you replay any that failed.

API Keys

Create and revoke API keys here. Keys come in two scopes: sending_access for production services that only need to send mail, and full_access for tooling that also manages domains, templates, and contacts. A key is shown in full only at creation — store it immediately.

Mailboxes

Mailboxes are hosted inboxes on your verified domains. Each mailbox belongs to a member of your organisation and is accessible through the webmail. You can create, assign, and configure mailboxes here, and import mail from an external provider using the import tool.

Logs

The application log records API calls, webhook deliveries, and background jobs. If a send came back unexpected, the log entry for that call shows the request parameters and the exact error the server returned.

Settings

Organisation name, billing plan, team members, and member permissions. The Members tab shows everyone with access to your account and what they can do. Permissions are additive — a member without the Mailboxes permission cannot see or manage mailboxes regardless of their role.

Billing and plan changes take effect immediately. Downgrades that would exceed the new plan's limits are blocked until you reduce usage to fit.
