Acceptable Use

What senders must do, and what may not be sent through this service.

Overview

This policy sits alongside the Terms of Service. It states the obligations every sender accepts when sending mail through Rovela, and the content and behavior that are not permitted because they harm other customers' deliverability or the integrity of the service.

What every sender must do

  • Send only to people who agreed to receive mail from you. Lists that were bought, scraped, or shared are not permitted.
  • Honour every opt-out promptly. Each marketing message carries a working one-click unsubscribe that needs nothing from the recipient beyond clicking it.
  • Send from a domain you control and have verified here. Sending under a domain or identity you do not own is not possible by design.
  • Keep your contact and billing information accurate, so the service can reach you about your account.

What may not be sent

  • Unsolicited bulk email sent without the recipient's consent.
  • Anything unlawful where either the sender or the recipient is located.
  • Malware, ransomware, or anything designed to compromise a recipient's system.
  • Phishing, credential harvesting, or mail that misleads a recipient about who sent it.
  • Content whose categories — gambling, adult material, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, and the like — are listed in the Terms as refused because a single sender in them lowers deliverability for everyone else.

Enforcement

A breach of this policy is grounds for warning, suspension, or termination, depending on severity. Where mail is actively causing harm, suspension may be immediate. The goal is to fix the sending rather than end the account, and we will usually reach out first.
