Feature0.4.0

Email composer and mailbox import

What's new in 0.4.0

Three-mode email composer

The webmail composer now supports three writing modes that you can switch between at any time: rich text (WYSIWYG with formatting toolbar), Markdown (with rendered preview), and raw HTML for when you need full control. The compose panel slides in beside the folder list so the inbox stays visible while you write.

Mailbox import from any IMAP source

Migrate existing mailboxes from another provider — Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, or any IMAP server — directly from the dashboard. Rovela connects to the source with the credentials you provide, maps folders to the matching destinations, and copies messages in the background. Progress updates live in the import panel. Vendor presets are included for the most common providers so you do not have to look up hostnames and ports.

Cross-folder search with location labels

Search results now span every folder and clearly show which folder each matching message came from. Previously, search ran only against the currently open folder.

Mailbox creation before MX switch

You can now add a mailbox for a domain even if the domain's MX records have not yet been pointed to Rovela. The mailbox is created immediately; a banner on the mailbox card explains that inbound mail will not arrive until the MX records are switched, with a link to the domain settings page.

Organization switcher

A compact switcher in the dashboard header lets you jump between organizations you belong to without going back to the login flow.
