Rovela 0.1.0: Send Transactional Email from a Single API Call
Rovela launches with a clean REST API for transactional email — domain verification, automatic DKIM signing, delivery webhooks, bounce handling, and inbound routing, all in one place.

What shipped in 0.1.0
Rovela is a transactional email platform built for developers. Version 0.1.0 is the first public release, covering everything you need to send, receive, and track email programmatically.
One endpoint to send
Send a message with a single POST /send request. The body accepts to, from, subject, html, and text. Multipart messages, cc, bcc, reply-to, and custom headers are all supported.
{
"to": "user@example.com",
"from": "noreply@yourdomain.com",
"subject": "Your verification code",
"html": "<p>Your code is <strong>482910</strong></p>",
"text": "Your code is 482910"
}
You get back a message ID you can use to query status later.
Domain verification and automatic DKIM
Add any domain you control, publish three DNS records Rovela shows you, and every outbound message from that domain is signed with a 2048-bit DKIM key automatically. No key management, no openssl commands — Rovela handles rotation on demand from the dashboard.
SPF and DMARC guidance is included in the setup wizard. The DNS check runs continuously and surfaces problems before they affect deliverability.
Delivery tracking and webhooks
Every sent message carries a unique ID. Query it at any time with GET /messages/{id} to see its current status. Or subscribe to webhooks and receive a POST to your endpoint for every delivered, bounced, opened, and clicked event, with HMAC signatures for verification.
Bounce and complaint handling
Hard bounces and spam complaints are processed automatically and added to a suppression list. Any subsequent send to a suppressed address is rejected before it reaches the MTA, protecting your sender reputation without any work on your side.
Inbound routing
Point your domain MX record at Rovela and inbound messages are parsed, stored, and queryable via API within seconds of arrival. The same webhook system that handles outbound events notifies your application when new mail arrives.
